Schedule reminders in advance

Reminders work best when prepared ahead of time. Compose messages during office hours, set the delivery date and time, and the phone sends them automatically — the PC does not need to stay on. Send at a responsible pace

A regular SIM card is intended for human conversation, not for aggressive campaign traffic. Large batches sent too fast can be slowed, filtered, or temporarily blocked by the carrier. Does DesktopSMS require a monthly subscription?

No. There is no subscription — both paid licenses are one-time purchases covering all current and future versions. The Free version has no time limit, but its limits (80 characters per message, 10 recipients, 10 messages in queue) make it impractical for business workflows; businesses should start with Professional. Your mobile carrier charges for SMS according to your tariff, as with any phone-sent message.

Will customers see our business number?

Yes. Messages are sent through your Android phone and SIM card, so recipients see your standard business number and can reply to it directly.

Can reminders go out when the office PC is off?

Yes, if they were scheduled in advance. Once a scheduled message is stored in the phone's queue, the phone delivers it on its own. The PC is only needed to prepare the message.

Who charges for the SMS messages we send?

Your mobile carrier, according to your tariff. DesktopSMS only controls your phone and technically relays sending through your phone and SIM card — each message goes out as if sent from the phone itself, so it is charged (or drawn from the plan allowance) by the carrier. DesktopSMS adds no per-message fee.
